A Lady, The Lady.

I was born to give life,
I lived to nurture it,
I love, so I am…
They seek, for they believe
I am their mother,
And I can set them free…
They try to capture,
What they forget
Is not theirs…
I endure in silence,
Their wounds of lies,
For I know pain…
I carry their guilt,
Of robbing my soul,
For they themselves are weak…
I play their acts,
Of many a roles,
For its them I deceive…
I walk in shadows,
And give them my light,
For their blindness I pity…
They say am caged,
To the chains of their mercy,
Ignorance is my bliss…
I laugh and cry,
At these mortal beings,
For I am the woman they seek…
Ok, the image, well its a painting by Raja Ravi Varma. and its not for the painting that i wrote these lines, but infact after writing those words when i thought about the type of picture that i needed, all i could think of was, the person who first showed me this picture. To tell more about her would be like a story of an eternity, for we know each other since i donno, since my brains got the power to know i guess...(Though it may not seem so, but its a real long time back!!)
Hey, miss you... :)
Regards,

The words were as if laid bare and yet laid down to be deciphered from there codings..
The painting,the person,the words..are for the lady who is a lady :)
Proliferating essence ..
@Alcina
i wish i was a bit opaque...
:P
I had read it earliar too but now with the painting above gave it a whole new essence..
The lady, lives for others all the time, worshipped on various rituals but yet disregarded as soon as she enters her own home. A life spent in service ends in a worthless shreds...
As i said before, a whole account on a lady, her life, reality.
Respect.
@Deepika
well, you honour me. just an effort to express... :)

nice reading you.. thanks.
@Aria
The pleasure is entirely mine. Thank you.
Apart from me, you're the few bloggers I know who uses nonsense verse in poetry, and does a way better job than I can do. I love the subtle nuances. like always, good job. :)
@Meher
Aaahh gal, i was waiting for your comment on this one... :)
The only reason, one of my inspirations behind this post is a song that you referred to in oneof your posts...
"Girl Girl" - The Beatles.
And i feel, your verses are better than mine. (That post of yours still continues to be my wallpaper. "have you ever seen a cow?")
:D
Lovely portrait of a woman harsh.. :) :)
Cheers,
@Tanvi

@iceprincess
:D hehehe, i dunno, i could only think of that pic after i wrote this...
:) thanks to you i say....
Hey sometimes small words makes big meaningful sentences, i found it powerful.. we see this lady in our everyday life in fact lives in many of us.. Yz the picture though a ladies is not really the one i thought will exact depict the lines bt then guess it got another story to say..
Reading it after a whole semester of feminism and just crossing the the 24 hours of Mother's Day, I think it is fair enough to say the projection of woman is very neatly made. Though I couldn't much with the first read, second read made the whole picture clear and beautiful to me. I mean nice twist you got there in that style, two lines of a direction and the third jumper. Interesting, will plagiarise that sometime soon! :P ;)
Good one man!
Anyo Shiyen.
@Devil Incarnate
Yes the picture is something that reminds me of one such person that my words talk of....
And seeing your name, i guess i have to agree to everything you say...
:P hehehe
@Anyo Shiyen
A fantasy with names?? :P
yes, actually i did write something in a similar way before...and you are free to plagiarize it..
