Journey

Staring through the night,
Searching for a reason…
Holding to my heart,
Now just pieces of crimson…
Looking back,
The footprints of time…
I feel your presence,
You are still mine…
Walking the distance,
Afraid of the present…
Gone are you,
Gone are all the seasons…
Well, I had given up writing more than a year ago…the only poem I had written in the recent past was as a reply or say comment for someone elses poem. Well, I myself am not much satisfied with th efinal outcome of this, but I had to write not for anyone but for myself, had to let those emotions out…had to free myself…
Named it journey for the sole reason that, all I could do is think and think about how it was yesterday, and the train of thoughts inevitably reminding me of the present…
To you,
Your Silhouette…
Searching for a reason…
Holding to my heart,
Now just pieces of crimson…
Looking back,
The footprints of time…
I feel your presence,
You are still mine…
Walking the distance,
Afraid of the present…
Gone are you,
Gone are all the seasons…

Hi buddy,
Welcome to my blog!!!:)
Yes, let's not forget our yesterdays for we'll be needing it in making and facing our present battles in life... i liked how thoughts are complimented to come up with a wonderful message...!!!:)
Thanks for dropping by on my page and appreciating my works.... and yeah, it's ok... actually, i have a different perceptions in poetry... for me, poems are expressions of what your heart feels less than what your mind thinks... yet, thank you for your honesty 'bout that matter... i really appreciate it... i hope you'll visit again... i would love to read more of your thoughts...!!!:)
Good day!!!:)

It is such a pleasure to read this poem. You might not be pleased with this effort, but let me tell you this one is going to touch quite a few individuals -- for the simple reason that it isn't written to please the masses but as sort of an ode to your own self.
This is a classic snapshot of a moment, which I think everyone goes through. At one point, you stop and look back. Certain memories bring a smile on your face while the rest render you with a heart ache. We then ponder if we actually ran away from the moment that got us grief or if we took the happy moments for granted or we simply moved on.
Simply beautiful poem, my friend.
Hey Kelvin,
very true, everyone has their own reasons to write...
and well, this particular one is a sincere effort...in your words, right from the heart...
regards,
The Silhouette...
Hey VP,
thanx buddy...well you have very rightly judged, its actually written for myself...to let out, to express whats long been kept inside...
thanx again,
The Silhouette...
OoOoops!!! i'm so sorry for that... it should be "...more than..." and not "...less than..." so sorry for that... o, i'm so je**!!!x3
..anyhow, thanks for your appreciations and for coming back on my page... very much appreciated!!!:D
Good day!!!:)
Blessings!!!:)

@Dave King
Thank you for devoting time to read this post. And also thanks for dropping a comment...
Seasons go around in circles for a reason. Life is always beautiful, sometimes not in present, but always in future :)
PS: sorry for the late comment.
Beautiful poem. :)
Hey Chandrika,
thanx for dropping by...and thanx for your appreciation too...
and you were thinking about quitting writing? don't u ever!
nice poem. and i liked the way you opened up after that even better. don't try and look for a reason for your writing all the time. just follow instincts. sometimes you write for yourself. sometimes you will write for others. sometimes you don't know what you are writing for. that's the way the world goes. :)
@AJai
Hey thanx for dropping by...and thanx for your appreciation too :)
more than finding a reason to write, i always had an inspiration.. for me, it was always an emotion, a feeling...that moment that instant...
wouldnt quit know...
many have gone by.. wishing for the moment when they could spend with that someone special.. u had a time.. your moments.. u r lucky, no matter what came after that :)
hold the past.. and live the present!
@Deepika
And am glad to see you...
those memories are wat keeps me going...
:)
Hi
This is for the last 5-6 posts. I read them in a flow and they made a strange sense when read together.
I have no idea why you were so upset/confused while writing this. It came out well, no doubt. All I wanted to say was that you did well by writing it out. It gives a strange sense of peace.
@Ivre
i should try reading them all in a flow... hmmm....one of my friend said they all have a similar theme to them...i donno how, but i feel so too...
:)
thanks again... ;-)
