The Dark Lord

I smell your reeking fragrance,
In the thin air, cold and dry…
You glide along the winter night,
Your scepter, held bold and high…
Waiting, with patience,
Absorbing, with eyes serene…
You blessed him,
The neighborhood boy…
Just like you took her,
Away from prying eyes…
You, the dark side of god,
I pray, for your darker rewards…..
In my last post i spoke of giving up writing, but i find it hard to part ways from it. For the sole reason that you seem so close with the pen in my hand. "Words" it were, that brought us together, i guess, words it would be that would hold us forever...
Always,
Your Silhouette...

I don't know who you are and i have no idea what you must be like... but in this veil of words you are a lover in woods!
And yes your words will hold you two together :)
Cheers,
@Tanvi
The lover was in a veil when it mattered, so now all that is left is this silhouette...my cross to carry...
She was always my words, and would be. Earlier i used to write about her, now i write for her...though most of my work are seen by none other than her alone...
Am just another neighborhood guy... :)

The Silhouette...
there's a lot to learn from u.. for u portray the finest of emotions in perfect words... that not only touch but also make me 'feel' them..
she surely was lucky.. and u even more for she had been the inspiration for all your words.
and please never give up on writing... its precious and maybe will keep u intact with your love.
The Title reminded me 'Harry Potter' and was wondering if it was going to be on it.
Wonderfully written.
@Deepika
we had each other in a way the world would term insane...
I am glad that you could feel it, for it is the best compliment one can get...
I guess after all, i couldn't give up on the only thing that still holds us together....
Regards,
The Silhouette..
@ Sh@s
i started writing it for a different title altogether, but ended up with this...the character from "Harry Potter" ain't that different either..
Thanks,
The Silhouette...
It's a beautiful poem you know...its much more than a poem, I really wished hope she was there to even witness this one !
The way you blend the words and the darker side of life...doesn't seem unreal at all...There is so much in your writing...though the verse is short yet its so meaningful and deep, I just can't seem to get the right words..and I'm so glad you wrote something you didn't stop, though its something like this...
At least to me...words gimme solace when the one is not there, words are always by my side...spoken ones too and written by me those too !
Take Care!
@Fatima
Thanks for your kind words...Even i wish through every moment of my life for her to be around, to still hear her voice...i guess the guy sitting above needed her more than i did...
From the very day i gave up the pen, these words were going round and round my head, i gave writing a second thought, could feel her closer with every word...so here i am...
Thanks and Regards,
The Silhouette...
@Kelvin

@Kristina
Welcome to my blog...i would be glad to read your posts, but i should say, i myself am not that frequent a blogger...i am more of a critic...
Thanks & Regards,
The Silhouette...
i m a first timer here, and ur poem touched me! it seems u have ripped open ur heart for ur beloved.
words are strange things, they give voice to our emotions at times when there is no one around. so keep writing and let ur feelings find a way :)
new year to u!

@Sarah
Welcome to my blog...
It was my beloved who opened my heart...Time it was, that ripped it...
Words are strange, but befriend them and they would be your best buddies, they would stand by you in the most testing of times...

Hey T.S,
Mysterious is the word... Certainly got a murky element to it,which is difficult to comprehend and easy to feel... And you got an interesting style here... Freeverse which is quite springy in nature... Easy manouvering,and I also see confidence in this piece.. Though it seems you are making a request,request hasn't been something which had to struggle to ask or bend and kneel or ask,you are asking it like its your right... I like that...

@Anyo
Hmmm, your analysis is quite interesting...one thing that you mention is quite true, the confidence...the reason being, i knew exactly what i wanted to write, and i knew how i wanted it to sound...
:)

The Silhouette...
