Broken Verses

Empty thoughts,

Days of darkness

For their purpose is lost…

Wailing and screaming

I find comfort in the past,

Sulking and dying

Its shadow is cast…

Smiles all fake

I am numb within,

Beneath the scars

My wounds still exist…

Haunted by the voice

“why wasn’t it me instead?”

Life is a curse

Death has blessed me with…

I smell your reeking fragrance,
In the thin air, cold and dry…
You glide along the winter night,
Your scepter, held bold and high…

Waiting, with patience,
Absorbing, with eyes serene…

You blessed him,
The neighborhood boy…
Just like you took her,
Away from prying eyes…

You, the dark side of god,
I pray, for your darker rewards…..

In my last post i spoke of giving up writing, but i find it hard to part ways from it. For the sole reason that you seem so close with the pen in my hand. "Words" it were, that brought us together, i guess, words it would be that would hold us forever...

tells a story,
Why do,
a part of me,
all of them carry...

Carrying the guilt,
Of my cowardice...
Getting heavier
By the burden
Of your promises...

Life in this misery,
Feeding on your memories...
Embraced by death,
Living in your memories...

i know am dwelling in the past...and all of my recent posts have been somehow or the other related to those memories...but, its something am gonna carry for a long time i guess, i just cant let go...at least till am in this city...
